As you may already be aware, Dr Malveen Kaur will be leaving the surgery in July 2017.  We are sure that you will all join us in wishing her the very best for the future.

The remaining partners are delighted to announce that two new GPs will be joining us in September.  This will add considerably to our GP appointments and in a time when it has been difficult for surgeries to recruit; we are extremely proud that they have chosen to join us.

Until that time Dr Kaurs patients will be looked after by the remaining partners.

It’s here…Did you know we have a new appointment system? On our first day the duty team saw 130 patients. They carried out 40 telephone call appointments and dealt with 9 home visit requests. Be seen on the day you want by contacting the surgery on that day. You will be offered a flexible time for an appointment to discuss one problem. You will be seen by one of the clinical team members working that day. The duty team will also be dealing with telephone calls and administration. We have based the new system on feedback from the friends and family test as well as discussions within the team about how to make all contacts with the surgery easier and even more efficient for everyone involved.

Our aim is to offer on the day ‘one problem’ appointments for        patients who want to be seen as soon as possible.  We will also have ‘usual doctor appointments’ for patients who prefer to see their usual doctor for ongoing issues and can plan
