We are very lucky to be in receipt of a grant from the PCT which will enable us to make some changes to the surgery so that we can finally employ another GP.  The works will be starting over the next couple of weeks and should be completed by the end of March.

We will be converting the area at the back of reception into two consulting rooms and moving all of the receptionists upstairs.  This will improve patient confidentiality and make for a quieter waiting area.  The reception desk is having a refurb and will be made smaller.  You may have noticed that we have been re-covering the chairs in reception over the last few weeks to make things look smarter.  The patient self check in will be relocated to the wall on the right as you come in with a low desk for those patients who need different access.

One of the nicest benefits of the work will be that we will have a new patient room where people may meet with the Practice Manager, be in quarantine if they are infectious or they may just need some private time without the need of a GPs room.

Following the redecoration of the consulting rooms late last year we are now starting to change the flooring.

Wow ...

Please bear with us whilst these changes are taking place.  We will try to work as quickly as possible however there is going to be an element of disruption along the way, we are sorry if this hinders you in any way.  Everyone working at Western Elms is very excited about the changes and looking forward to our new look surgery. We very much hope you will like it too.

If you do have any questions or areas of concern then please ask for Lisa (Practice Manager) or Jackie (Deputy Practice Manager) to give you a call.
