If you need to access medical care out of hours, ring NHS 111. This number is free to call both from land lines and from mobile phones.

NHS 111 provide cover for all urgent primary care requirements from 6:30pm – 8am Monday to Friday, from 6:30pm on Friday evenings until 8am on Monday mornings and all day on Public Holidays.

If you need treatment out of hours, NHS 111 will contact the local out of hours provider WestCall directly on your behalf.

In a genuine emergency you should call 999. Chest pains and / or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.

Mental Health Support

If you feel you need support with regards to your mental health outside surgery working hours, please contact the Crisis Team on 0300 365 9999.

Extended GP access during evenings and weekends

Western Elms and Circuit Lane work together to offer our patients additional appointments in evenings and weekends. These appointments can be telephone calls, face to face, video calls and visits, covering one surgery up until 8pm Monday to Friday. We also work out of one of the surgeries on a Saturday morning, please check when you make your appointment as we do fluctuate this based on need.

Sundays and bank holidays are still covered by Westcall by calling 111.
